Start with what you actually need
- Cables: The UGREEN USB-C 100W Braided Fast Charging Cable is for 100W laptop and phone charging. Data runs at only 480 Mbps, and for low-power gadgets any cable will do.
- Chargers: The UGREEN Nexode 65W 3-Port GaN Charger shares up to 65W across three ports, enough for a laptop plus a phone or tablet. Skip it if your laptop needs more than 65W or you only charge one phone.
- Docks: The CalDigit TS4 Thunderbolt 4 Dock suits a crowded desk, with 18 ports, 2.5GbE Ethernet and up to 98W of laptop charging over one cable; it is overkill if you need only one or two extra ports. The UGREEN Revodok 6-in-1 USB-C Hub is the travel option for MacBook and iPad users, with 4K@60Hz HDMI, four 10 Gbps USB ports and 100W pass-through, but no 8K output.
- Power banks: The Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 24K) offers 24,000mAh and 140W two-way USB-C charging for travelers who want one brick for a laptop and a phone. At 630 g it belongs in a bag, not a pocket.
- UPS units: The APC Back-UPS BE600M1 is a 120V US model for desktop and router setups. The Santak TG-BOX 600 is a 220V China model for short outages and safe NAS shutdown. Both are standby units that cover minutes, not hours.
China and US versions: what actually differs
Region matters most for anything that plugs into the wall. Here is what the cards state.
- APC BE600M1: 120V input and US NEMA outlets.
- Santak TG-BOX 600: a China model with 184-264 VAC input, 220V output (plus or minus 7%) and China-standard outlets, sold mainly in China.
- UGREEN Nexode 65W: 100-240V, 50/60Hz input and a foldable US plug.
- CalDigit TS4: US-model specs with a 230W power supply. Power cord and warranty terms elsewhere depend on the seller.
- Anker 737: USB-C in and out, with no voltage or plug differences between versions. The China version carries the 3C mark and is covered by Anker China; the US version goes through US channels.
- UGREEN Revodok: no power adapter included. A USB-C adapter of up to 100W on the PD port lets the hub pass up to 85W to the computer.
Common pitfalls
- A 100W rating is about power, not data: the UGREEN cable moves data at 480 Mbps and has no video output.
- The Nexode 65W shares its power, so unplug cables you are not using. When charging an Apple Watch from the USB-A port, leave the C2 port empty. Samsung Galaxy phones charge at up to 25W, not 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0.
- 140W from the Anker 737 needs a PD 3.1 cable and a device with PD 3.1 input.
- At 88.8Wh, the Anker 737 is under the 100Wh airline carry-on limit; only 100 to 160Wh packs need declaring. Check your airline's latest rules. In China, the card advises a genuine 3C-marked unit, since off-brand packs without the mark may be held at airport security.
- TS4 Ethernet needs a Thunderbolt host, or a USB4 host that supports PCIe. Through an HDMI adapter, Apple silicon Macs are limited to 4K 60Hz, and base M1, M2 or M3 Macs and USB-C MacBooks are a poor fit for dual monitors.
- If your laptop's USB-C port does not support charging, use its original adapter. If charging through the Revodok is slow, use the original charger or one rated above 65W.
- The APC runs 3.2 minutes at full load and 11.8 at half load, and its USB port only charges. The Santak runs about 10 minutes at 100W and about 4 at 200W, takes 8 hours to recharge, and lacks the network-cable surge protection of the 850 model.
- The APC product page lists the BE600M1 as non-stock, not normally kept in distribution.
How our cards read
Every card here rates the price as roughly even between China and the US. Prices move daily, so check each card page.

- UGREEN USB-C 100W Braided Fast Charging Cable: for charging, not fast data. Buy; roughly even.
- Santak TG-BOX 600: short-outage protection and NAS shutdown on 220V. Buy; roughly even.
- APC Back-UPS BE600M1: a 600VA, 120V UPS with seven NEMA outlets, listed as non-stock. Wait; roughly even.
Before you buy
- Match wattage: your laptop's needs against the charger, cable, dock or power bank.
- Match protocols: 140W needs PD 3.1 on both ends.
- Check your computer, since dock display and Ethernet support depend on the host.
- For a UPS, match voltage and outlets first.
- Flying with a power bank? Check the Wh rating and your airline's rules.
- See the card page for the current price.
